I’m a father of two and a site reliability engineer by day. At night, I enjoy playing PC games. As a working man on a salary who must pay for vacations, insurance, utility bills, and other family expenses, I often realize at the end of the month that I don’t have much saved. This has motivated me to withdraw the last of my savings in one lump sum to purchase stocks, hold for dividends, and regrettably to partake in soccer betting.

I’m not a financial expert!
It’s true that I’m not a financial genius. Upon observing the last five years of realized capital losses on stock growth, I had no desire to engage in serious market trading. Even though I have a friend who engages in full-time trading from home and a colleague who claims to earn $500 per week, I do not envision myself spending an inordinate amount of time in front of my monitor playing the market. The purchase of PayPal Holdings at $250 in 2021 was my most disastrous investment, as it is currently only worth $70.

I was once intrigued by soccer when Manchester United featured stars such as Andy Cole, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, and Dwight Yorke. After that period of greatness, I became involved in football betting, which eventually led to near-bankruptcy of my personal savings. I used to bet hundreds of dollars on every game, but now I only bet what I can afford.

The Passive Pocket was created when I combined that with the desire to share my soccer betting experiments, an idle domain, and a DirectAdmin reseller plan. In a series of discussions, ChatGPT, Deepseek, and I jointly picked the title.
I’m looking for steady growth and handsome dividends from my meager stock holdings. I am hoping that my soccer betting experiments will serve as an alternative source of income. It is certain that this blog will serve as a testament to my passive income journey, as I gradually established a path toward an alternative source of income. Additionally, it serves as a reminder for discipline as I evaluate my previous deeds and promise not to spend money carelessly.
